THE CREW

Bruce Bryan ~ Racecourse Manager
Bruce started with the Jockey Club in 2005, and comes from a background as a farrier, amateur rider and horse-breaker. He has an advanced certificate in Horse Business Management from Marcus Oldham College in Australia. He has two lovely children and interests which include hover-craft crashing, Amdram theatre, and assists with a local annual rodeo.


Mark Buckley ~ Assistant Racecourse Manager
Known as Buckles, Mark has been with the club since the late 1970’s. He’s worked as a farming apprentice, held an amateur jockey licence for 18 years and ridden track work for many years. He’s a keen tennis player, enjoys the odd round of golf & loves music. He’s well known for his humour & coming into the office singing a tune or two not heard in a long time.


Bret Field ~ Operations Manager
Bret started in June 2010 and comes from previous positions in management  with the Department for Courts and equine training in the education industry. Bret spent a couple of years working in London at the Financial Times newspaper and returned home in 2001. Interests include sport, music, art, travel and enjoying time with family and friends.    


Elissa Reu ~ Administrator

Elissa started with the club in July 2008. Her extensive administration skills and enthusiasm made her the perfect choice for the role. Although new to the racing industry she is excited about her role and the contributions she’ll make to support the club and racing. Elissa is a mother of three delightful children and an active member of PTA.
